Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To mix education with travel, and to help and be extremely happy along the way.
ABOUT ME
I'm originally from a beautiful, coastal country town in south-west Western Australia, and now living and studying in Perth. I've been lucky enough to go on international exchanges whilst studying cultural studies and high school English teaching, and have definitely caught the travel bug. I'm now teaching at Wiluna Remote Community School, which is in Martu (local aboriginal people) country. One day I'm going to take my fantastic girlfriend and live somewhere with lots of trees.
PHILOSOPHY
Positivity and enthusiasm in life are a real bonus, as is open-mindedness. I want to be as aware and world-wise as I can in order to contribute helpfully, not become overwhelmed and tired!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Happy to host like-minded people here in Wiluna if they get this far!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only had a few formal couchsurfing experiences and they'e all been positive. However, I've had lots of informal couch-surfing experiences - meeting people during travels, befriending them, and visiting them later in travels. A couch is inevitably involved.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Danced my first proper waltz with a delightful Chinese pensioner man in a public park in Shanghai on a humid June day.
Walked almost all of the 1000km track from Perth-Albany in Western Australia...in sections.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to make a dream-catcher or a paper crane (if you come and sleep on my couch). If you don't speak English as a first language you might find it helpful to have this defined:
teach = I will teach you, can you teach me?
learn = I will learn from you, would you like to learn from me?
taught = I was taught by you
learnt (learned - US) = I have learnt from you
:)
