ABOUT ME
I grew up in a small town in New Hampshire; I think the rural lifestyle is still in my blood, no matter how thoroughly I try to shake it off. I go to college in Cambridge, MA, living down by the river--though not in a van, which would be a nice experiment. Love to read (I'm studying literature), love to open myself up to new cultures, love to learn new languages. Always ready to open myself up to new experiences. The more random and unexpected, the better.
PHILOSOPHY
Nothing defined. I absolutely hate routine. I try to free myself from all dogma and live morally at the same time. I'm always interested in new ideas and new ways of life. I'm happiest when I'm most curious and vice versa.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
--I met up with a group of CouchSurfers while I was studying for the summer in St. Petersburg. I kind of crashed their dinner, talked with some Belgian guy about length about Flemish, went to an American bar. It was a nice way to spend my last few days in the city.
--I've also stayed with great hosts in San Francisco and Los Angeles. I can't vouch so much for the East Coast, but based on experience I'm sure folks over there are amazing too.
Interests
Books of all sort and shape, movies of all color, origin, and age, blues music, classical music, romanian folk music, hot chocolate (with whipped cream), the middle east, the sopranos, and so on.

Music, Movies, and Books
This is too hard, just talk to me if you want to find out.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
--Went paragliding for free in Switzerland. Me and a very nice Swiss man hung suspended over Interlaken for half an hour as he chatted with me about tourists and I felt faint precipitation on my face as we swung all over the place.
Again...the more of these, the better.
--Waded/plodded/climbed my way through the amazing caves at Actun Tunichil Muknal in the Cayo District of Belize to find relics of ancient Maya sacred rituals and human skeletons, reminders of sacrifices, and beautiful crystal formations.
--Did guest stays with Maya families in the rural south of Belize. Incredibly polite people in a beautiful region!
--Slept in a phone booth right in front of an enormous cathedral in Trier, Germany.
--Lived in Raskolnikov's section of St. Petersburg for a summer. No axe murders witnessed, though.
