About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn and live and love with an open heart and mind

ABOUT ME

I'm an artist, dreamer, a drinker of red wine and coffee. I grew up in small towns and moved to the City when I was 9. Having spent a ton of time in the same place, I really feel the pull from different corners of the world now. I love the ocean, cooking, painting/sketching, making old things new, music, dancing and the exchange of ideas and thoughts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently a surfer who hasn't yet had the opportunity to host, I'm overcome with the kindness and openness I've encountered along the way. I can't wait to start hosting back home!

Music, Movies, and Books

Most of my tastes in this regard fall more on the obscure of "left" side of the line. I adore Tim burton and the Cohen brothers for movies. Favourite film of all time? Labyrinth.

My musical tastes are quite broad. I love rock (classic, alternative, indie, oldies, pop, underground, grunge), classical, motown, electronic, country (think more Patsy Cline or Johnny Cash), industrial, synth-pop, 80's, the list goes on and on.

As far as books, my focus in the last couple years has been more spirituality based reading than fiction. Esther and Jerry Hicks, Neale Donald Walsch, Echart Tolle..
My fave fiction writers incude Neil Gaiman, David Foster Wallace, Itallo Calvino and Christopher Moore.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The trip I'm currently on has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life. So much that it's difficult to express in words! Meeting beautiful giving people is the most rewarding thing life has to offer.
