ABOUT ME

We're both young at heart. We have been retired for a couple of years and have very much enjoyed meeting our visitors from around the world. We enjoy meeting people of all ages and find CS to be a great organisation with its opportunities to meet and learn from so many different people.

Our rural property is very relaxing and we get lots of visitors from amongst our friends.

PHILOSOPHY

Not deep into philosophy - prefer to just accept people as they are and appreciate the goodness of life in general.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We enjoy hosting people and mostly only do that but we've also surfed a small number of couches.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had quite a number of visitors from around the world and it's been great. We are very glad we joined CS.

Interests

We like music of most types - have a bit of difficulty with heavy metal but can put up with a bit. Classical is probably the favourite but we like folk, jazz, country - you name it.

We have started having open-air concerts on our property. We have built a stage we call "the music shack" which is tucked into a nice grove of trees and people bring their own chairs and drinks and are seated on a grassed area. We limit the audience to about 100 and have had many concerts. It has been a great experience. We don't make money from the concerts - we just enjoy having them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Checking out our several bookcases you'd find plenty of fiction of varied genres. Lots of books on horses and horsy things for Judy. More junky relaxed fiction thrillers and humour for Vince.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We both worked for a month in a far northern Thai jungle village on a community service project. That was great. Another amazing experience was attending the wedding of our niece in Luxor Egypt to a local man.
