the greatest experience of travel is not simply sightseeing, but rather sharing in the spirit of others and experiencing life from their perspective. my desire is to not be a tourist, but to rather share in the life experiences of others.

ABOUT ME

I am a graduate student in Indiana. I spent this summer traveling around europe and had the best times of my life thanks to couchsurfing. I believe that travel is not about what you see, but rather the people that you get to know. it is my passion to get to know people from around the world and to share our experiences with each other. I am always excited to learn and try new things.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life in order to learn something new everyday. My desire is to step outside of my comfort zone and to try as many things as possible. I believe that life is not what you do, but what you share.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have spent time both couchsurfing and hosting. I am very busy with full time work and school, but I try to host people as often as my schedule allows.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has changed who i am as a person and how i see traveling. I will never be content to just "see" a place again. Of all of the things I experienced while traveling, it was the small and seemingly insignificant events that I got to see through couchsurfing that have most impact. A wine and cheese party with couchsurfers in france, a day on the beach with couchsurfers in barcelona. My favorite experience was la patum de berga in spain - something i would have never fully appreciated had I not been taken in by a fellow couchsurfer.

Intereses

I love all types of cuisines and one of my favorite parts of traveling is trying the unique foods of a region. I love to read and to learn. I also enjoy yoga and meditation, as well as a good drink with friends.

Música, películas y libros

Books: the alchemist, the great gatsby, dandelion wine, oh too many to list, but i love to read, but grad school takes all the fun reading away! :(

Music: I appreciate all kinds of music. I love bluegrass, indie, pretty much anything that moves my soul

Movies: I like movies, but not to the point where I think they are a social behavior. If I am going to visit with people I want to talk, not sit and stare at the tv together!

I went white water rafting through the rain forest in costa rica!

One of the most amazing things I have participated in was La Patum de Berga in Berga, Spain! It was so vibrant and awesome to see the fire, and the music, and to be a part of it!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I can show you the best pizza in indianapolis, and I can also show you around to some of the things that are less known, and therefore more authentic. i can show you any good cuisine in my town, because i love good food.

I am always up for a great conversation, good food, sharing a good glass of wine, discussing our interests, and the universal language.
