ABOUT ME

Being that Álvaro and I are sharing this profile I guess I´ll begin with a little bit about myself.

My name is Brittany and I'm currently living in Freiburg, Germany. I've decided to become a student once again and I have to say I'm so excited! I spent the last 3 yrs living in Spain. I stayed not because I particularly loved teaching English but because I absolutely loved my life there. I've always considered myself to be open-minded with a worldly outlook on life. That's probably because I'm both American and Australian. My ancestors hail from all sides of the globe making me a bit of a mutt! But it is exactly this weird mixture that has made me who I am: a free thinking, travel loving chucho.

My name is Álvaro, and I'm studying foresty engineering. and i have lived in cordoba during 5 or 6 years, Basically I'm a nice guy who loves meeting new people and talking about everything and anything, especially the weather...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard of couch surfing a few times before I decided to join. I think it was my most recent trip to India that opened me up to the idea of putting myself out there, not only my couch but to get to know other people who willingly put their experiences out there for all to share. I was welcomed so warmly in India from people who have much less than I, it's time to continue that tradition.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hampi, India: The boulders of Hampi create the most beautiful surreal landscape I have ever seen.

I had the opportunity to serve the Dalai Lama in May 2007. He passed by the kitchen and bowed to all of the staff, it was an incredible and humbling experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach English and make great cous cous. Álvaro is a magician in the kitchen. I say my cous cous is good but that's only cause he taught me.
