About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to rest. Peace in this moment. Stress free living. Having a hospitable spirit about me.

ABOUT ME

First you must know that it is 7 hrs. drive to new york city. I am 62. My husband and I have lived in NY since 1983. I love my victorian house and especially my kitchen. Baking is a hobby. Having friends in my cozy wood cook stove corner is a favorite to enjoy a cup of tea and share our stories together. I love biographies and anyone's stories. I have been married 40 years and we have 6 children between the ages of 28 and 39. I love travel and have dreamed for 31 years of going to Scotland and we finally went the summer of 2009. That is how I began with couch surfing. This is really the best way to enjoy a country for real.
I spent 3 months in Brasil in 2015. My favorite foreign country!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have lots of room in my house. We are excited about this whole project. We have had many couples and many singles in our home and have loved them all!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We were up in the Hebrides in northern Scotland and stayed with 2 families and loved it so much!!!!!
One lady used to be a tour guide for the Isle of Lewis and so when she finished work, we hopped in her van and drove around the whole island. She told us all the history and then fed us a fabulous meal. I love Scotland!!!

Interests

Baking, dancing, making stained glass windows, eating healthy food, hearing people's stories. Learning Portuguese is a passion as well.
