About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Stay alive and happy

ABOUT ME

A recent graduate from university, I am currently travelling through Central America and trying to pick up some more Spanish before I go back to the states to start at law school.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to always be learning and working towards new goals for myself, avoiding becoming stagnant in whatever life brings me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have not hosted but am looking for a couch to stay. Once I have a couch of my own I hope to put up some surfers on my own.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have helped a friend of mine, Martin, show some surfers from Germany around Santa Cruz, which got my interested in joining up and participating more in the project.

Interests

Reading! All the time. Playing the trombone, hiking, swimming in fresh water lakes, traveling and always learning more from the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Modest Mouse is my favorite band but I listen to just about anything. I've been trying to read some of the American authors lately- Twain, Faulkner, Hemmingway, etc- a bad habit I picked up from a college class a while back.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I survived a massive forest fire in Lake Tahoe, California. I also climbed to the highest point in Panama and saw both oceans.

Teach, Learn, Share

My primary interests- and subjects in school- tend to center around politics, philosophy and literature. I would love to be able to play more music, but it's always difficult to find people interested in playing with a trombonist. My Spanish is coming along, but it would be great to be fluent.
