PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If you're wondering, or if you're wandering, we probably have a place for you. We've been extremely pleased by our experiences hosting. Since October (now Feb) we have had over 40 surfers stay with us. From all over the US, to Europe and even Estonia! We have an agenda for the types of experiences visitors have in our home city, and it's to be amazed. We collect pocket change and cans for the Couchsurfers Amenities Fund to purchase things like bedding and emergency needs, but we also have a pre-paid local cell phone for our international surfers. We may even look into Ambassadorships and other CS involvement.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Wonderful experiences abound playing host for travelers from all over the US and from around the world. I hope to revisit all of our surfers soon when I begin my own travels.

Interests

People who have wisdom to share, drawn-on mustaches, gender benders, dirty jokes, beginner particle physics, eastern mysticism, anything that is 'uber-' or 'best thing ever', impromptu dance parties, people that live their beliefs, music with a message, lovers, music just for shaking your booty, conspiracy theories, real solutions to the problems at hand, and cheesecake.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life changing/constructing experiences cannot be conveyed in buzzwords.

Teach, Learn, Share

We're down to learn anything. We're down to learn everything.

Between the Clamshack and its extended network, many diverse skills can be obtained... just a few examples: taxidermy, shibori, vegan dessert making, fire tending, cloisonne, process re-engineering, strip candyland, gardening, fiber arts, broadcast media de/reconstruction, behavioral programming/preconditioning/deconstruction, defining and defying obscenity, loose morals, how to throw oneself at the ground... and miss.

Countries I’ve Visited

Countries I’ve Lived In
