About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Adventuring, Mischief, and Mayhem

ABOUT ME

I was put on this planet to lift large amounts of weight and eat my body's weight in meat every day.

Besides lifting large weights and carnivory, I like alcohol. Drinking large quantities is fun, but making it is more fun. I will try and ferment anything.

I like the ocean, but the mountains are fun too

I sink in water

My hair is red... not blond!

Ink is addictive... so... I have tattoos

PHILOSOPHY

Hakuna Matata

Scuba divers go under to see what's there, freedivers go under to see what's inside themselves

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I know it says I've been a member since 2009, but I actually started couchsurfing under a group profile called the Pirate Ninjas. I was part the Pirate Ninja group profile from February 2007 to May 2008. We hosted over 40 people through couch surfing, and multiple others from the outside.

Host whomever I can at the moment, and hope to do some more surfing... preferably sooner rather than later

Interests

These days it's all about freediving and power lifting... but mostly freediving. I can hold my breath for over 5 and a half minutes and can dive down 199 feet.

Besides said cardiac contradictions: Scuba diving and snorkeling, beer, metal working (specifically armoring), exercise and lots of it, digging gigantic holes in the sand with my hands, beer, knitting, outrigger canoe paddling, martial arts, bread making and baking in general, whiskey, cooking, animal husbandry, mead, horseback riding, bicycling (both mountain and road), gravity (and lack thereof), backpacking, reading, beer, beaches, storytelling, hydrogen bonds, archery, sword play, beer, lifting anything big and heavy (preferably a large rock or chunk of iron), brewing, gardening, landscaping, stonework, carpentry and woodworking, strategy games, increasing my anabolic threshold, friction (and lack thereof), and beer

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite music: Music

moving pictures frighten me

I like campfire stories... and tales of old

anybody know any ghost stories that are actually scary? I mean, when was the last time you were actually scared by a story?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can dive down so deep I can't see the surface of the water

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach making bows, arrows, armor, proper lifting form, controlled fermentation, how to wire a house, and how to hold your breath for a REALLY long time

I want to learn everything... EVERYTHING
