About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as much of the world as possible

ABOUT ME

I was born in a small town in Northern California close to San Francisco. My parents are still together after 28 years and my younger sister lives in the Bay Area. I've been riding horses since I was 5 and I love all animals (including snakes!) I graduated college in 2006 with two degrees in English and Theater.
After I graduated I went with my university choir to Norway and Sweden. After our tour I continued to backpack throughout Europe by myself for 3 months until I found Interlaken, Switzerland. I stayed for nearly two years, skydiving by day and bartending by night. Speaking about skydiving, I love all things that get my adreneline going. Rock climbing, canyoning, snowboarding, whatever you got.
When my time in Europe was over I came back to Los Angeles and started working as an actress. After doing that for a year I needed a break from the city and moved to the Colorado Rockies for the winter. I love the mountains.
I currently live in L.A. and continue to explore life, if only within driving distance these days.

PHILOSOPHY

To live the life the way I want to live it I picture myself on my death bed. A huge smile on my face as I tell my wide eyed grandchildren every story I can think of. I imagine them playing on the playground at school bragging to their classmates "When my grandma was a girl she jumped out of airplanes all by herself!" What can I do now in my life that I can have pride in telling the future generations? What can I experience in my life to make it as movieesque as possible?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A friend of mine told me about couchsurfing and he had two girls from Switzerland stay with him. I thought it was a great idea and I wanted to be a part of it too. Since I love to travel myself this seems the best way to be a part of good karma. You stay with me, I'll stay with you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I first traveled through Europe I stayed in hostels most of the time which was a great experience in itself. The thing it lacked was the ability to meet locals and experience the town/city from a non tourist view. I hate being a tourist. I love being a temporary local.

Interests

I love horseback riding, skydiving, rock climbing, hiking, snowboarding, high views, history, drinking wine, journaling, dogs, sailing, and learning new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I adore all types of music. If it's good, I like it. Movies keep me indoors and therefore should only be left to extreme weather days. Books are great ways to spend train rides.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My favorite story takes place in Siena, Italy. It was the night of the 2006 World Cup - Italia/France. I went with two girls I met at the hostel to Il Campo to eat, drink, and watch the game. Our server was Aladdin. Italy was losing and he was so bummed. I said "Aladdin, I promise you Italy is going to win. And when they do I am going to give you the biggest American kiss you've ever had." We finished eating and went to the gelato shop. While in the gelato shop we saw the end of the game and the enitre country of Italy poured out into Il Campo. Champagne and wine flying everywhere. Flags flapping, firworks going off into the crowd. People chanting and singing. It was amazing. Two hours into the all night festivities I bumped into Aladdin. I didn't go back on my promise. The whole town stayed up all night dancing and singing and drinking. It was the single most fun night of my life.
