ABOUT ME
First of all I am AWESOME. Secondly, I am a pretty easy going dude. I love to read, learn, dance, write, sing/rap at the top of my lungs. I just finished up at the University of California, Santa Barbara with a double major in Global Studies and Religious Studies. I have just begun my attempt to travel all over the world and I must say it has been quite an amazing experience.
I just got back from probably one of the most enriching experiences of my life. I lived in Ankara Turkey for 6 months and traveled through Eastern Europe the following month or so. I couch surfed, WWOOFED and slept outside under the stars whenever possible.
I returned to California about 3 months ago and just moved to the bay area in search of a proper job. let's just say my home town doesn't have the greatest job market.
Anyway now I am in San Francisco I have a couple jobs lined up and I am just trying to get my life together up here. It feels good to start anew in a this vibrant city and I hope to set some roots down for awhile.
PHILOSOPHY
Everyday one wakes up, one should be happy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I let everyone I know who is traveling about this project, usually we're broke and in college and in need of seeing the world.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed in Fiji, Mexico, Australia (YEAH THE FORREST), Turkey (you are a good man Inanc!!), Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Poland and every single time I have had an amazing time. Music, Movies, and Books
The Shawshank Redemption, The Sandlot. Tupac, salsa, dancehall, reggae, good hip hop, pretty much everything except soft rock and trance/house. The power of one, the culture of new capitalism, the shock doctrine....there are sooooo many!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
From everything that I have seen traveling to 17 different countries in the past two years I have to say the most amazing thing I have ever seen is the look on my little brothers face when his son was born, pure joy and it radiated.
Teach, Learn, Share
Knowledge of various religions and the processes of globalization. I have had a significant amount of experiences working in different ecological settings and discussing the relationship between the religious establishment of that area with their understanding of environmentalism. But most of all, I teach love.
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Fiji, Hungary, Mexico, Papua New Guinea, Poland, Slovakia, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu
