ABOUT ME

We are retired teachers who enjoy travel and meeting others. When travelling we enjoy being with 'locals' so that we get a real feeling and understanding of the culture of the country we are in.

We live as naturally as possible and avoid the use of chemicals and poisons. We also encourage wildlife and have planted bird and butterfly attracting plants in our garden. However this means you will come across the occasional spider or other critter around our home. Nothing to be worried about!! Noises outside at night may be frogs, possums, echidnas, fruit bats, bandicoots etc.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We enjoy visitors and even prior to CouchSurfing our home has always been open to guests - ranging from friends and relatives to hosting students and teachers from overseas (mostly Japan). We have also hosted friends of friends from Belgium, Germany and Sweden.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have now been involved with CouchSurfing for quite a while and in addition to having hosted visitors to our part of the world have also been hosted by families in Canada, France, Germany and Italy. It's great to be able to talk to the real locals.

兴趣

We both love camping, bush walking, gardening and golf (Alex). We grow most of our own vegetables (organically), with Jill doing most of the work. As mentioned above we enjoy travelling. We have a 4WD and small off road van and have covered much of the Australian continent including several trips to Central Australia. We are also members of the local amateur theatre company and Alex is a volunteer fire fighter.
