About Me

CURRENT MISSION

our goal is to welcome foreigners and to travel abroad and meet cool locals

ABOUT ME

we are two cool french guys in love, living together in Paris, which we also love very much.

Gab was born in 1982
he grew up in a family of artists (both parents are painters). Very early on, he travelled a lot with his whole family, and from the age of 16, more and more alone or with friends or brothers. During his college years he spent a year in Salerno, Italy, thanks to the european exchange program Erasmus. He also went to Togo for several months. He found out that his passion was to meet and connect people from different cultures. He naturally turned to the communication and became a dedicated Press Attaché.
Gab speaks french, english, italian, spanish and a bit of german.
Max was born in 1975
his parents divorced when he was 4, but he was lucky enough to be often sent to abroad summer camps. He is very interested in studying how people live, in the little details of everyday life as well as the big historical events that shaped each of our countries. He has a running imagination and is always looking for inspirations and new ideas and projects.

PHILOSOPHY

Gab has no particular personal philosophy expect maybe "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
Max's philosophy would be "it takes time to realize life is short, but once you do keep in mind that you still need to respect yourself, and others too"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

we are used to welcome lots of guests : family (gab has 2 brothers, Max has 2 sisters), friends, family of friends, friends of family, friends of friends and so on...
we also love to travel as often as possible.
in 2 years we went to Lisboa, Roma, Barcelona, Gent, Marseilles, Montpellier, etc
we both are very talkative and curious persons, we love to chat, share about experiences, ideas and projects. we work a lot but we want to enjoy life as well so we try to use our freetime creatively and usually with others

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

we have no previous experiences with CouchSurfing yet but still we are used to welcome guests and when abroad, to stay and share with locals.
Gab's best experience was the chasing of a hippopotamuses in the middle of the night when he slept at a Togolese farmer's and when the animals invaded the farmer's corn fields.
Max's best experience was in Canada, when he crossed the border on a bike to go buy some american gums

Gab: A parachute jumping, a treck in the desert, a sunrise in Turkish mountains from the Egea sea...
Max: not too amazing but doing a dance show in front of fifty people was pretty amazing for him. that and having his first book published

Teach, Learn, Share

Gab can really teach old tricks to take care of yourself (we call it "systeme D" in french). He can build or repair lots of stuff in the house, and he is an incredible cook, able to pull a delicious meal with just a few simple ingredients.
he is a happy-go lucky guy, one can never get bored with him.
Max can draw. not very useful but still. and he also can help you to improve your self-confidence as he always look for what's best in people.
