About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Become fluent in Indonesian!
ABOUT ME
I come from Brittany, in the North West of France. I was working in a translation company translating TV shows and video games before going travelling.
I left France in September 2009, spent 2 months in Indonesia and one year in Australia, and now I'm travelling around Asia until the money I made in Australia runs out hahaha! Update, the money I made in Australia HAS run out, but I found a way to stay. I now work as a divemaster!
Well, what can I say? I like meeting new people and share our different experiences of the world. I like to party, but I can also enjoy a quiet day or evening. I dont party as much as when I lived in France. To be honest, I can be a little shy at first (when I don't know people very well), but I still like to meet people. I love to discover new countries and cultures. I have been in South East Asia for more than 2 years now so I know the area pretty well, especially Indonesia, but I like coming back to places I loved just as much as discovering new places.
I'm an easy-going person, very tolerant and open-minded (well, as long as you're not a fascist!).
PHILOSOPHY
I'd say enjoy what you have instead of being desperate by what you don't have.
Good things come from all experiences, positive as well as negative.
Treat others as you'd like to be treated.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hosted a couple people when I lived in Paris and it has been a wonderful experience.
Having been away from home for years, mostly travelling, I cant really host anyone now. But I have been surfing in Asia and Australia, always a great experience.
Interests
I like travelling, being outdoor (forest, jungle, mountain), dreaming, doing nothing (sometimes it's good to appreciate doing nothing without feeling bored), sport, food, video games, partying, music, being outdoor, going to music festivals...
I play badminton, I love snorkelling and scuba diving. Underwater photography. I like all sorts of sports but these are the ones I do most of the time.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like books by Irvine Welsh (who wrote Trainspotting)
Movies: quite a lot, but here's a bunch, randomly: Lock, Stock and two Smoking Barrels; The Big Lebowski; Snatch; Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas; Usual Suspects; Pulp Fiction; Requiem for a Dream...
French movies: Bernie; C'est arrivé près de chez vous; Le dîner de cons; La cité de la peur; Le père Noël est une ordure...
I also love The Simpsons, American Dad, Family Guy and South Park.
Music: Quite a lot of reggae: The Gladiators, Israel Vibration, Burning Spears, etc.
Also Metallica, Slipknot, Ill Niño, System of a Down, Nirvana, The Offspring...
I have turntables and I play hardtekno too. And I like drum and bass and that kind of stuff.
But I like loads of different types of music
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Left home for a year and havent been back for almost 4 years.
I have been in a 100°C+ type of sauna in Finland and jumped into a frozen lake afterward.
Partying in the mud (I mean proper mud) for 3 days!
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I'm French, so I can teach you French. I have turntables, so I can show you how to DJ.
I can teach you how to dive.
I'm sure I can learn something great from you.
