My mission is to live in the moment, learn as much as possible from those around me, laugh, smile and enjoy the presence of others obnoxious behaviors other than my own. Dance!

ABOUT ME

I love to smile and watch others do so as well. I have a deep connection with nature. It is my church, my sanctuary, my place where I find pure bliss. I am an avid backpacker/traveler and am always ready for an adventure. I enjoy the company of others especially when good hearted laughter is involved. My family calls me their gypsy/hippie from the left coast. I am far from hippie but I'll let you come to your own decision on that one. I love a good intellectual conversation and I am always open to hearing the other side. I love to cook for others especially food from my own garden or the local farmers market. I try to live my life with joy and gratitude for all that comes my way. I feel blessed to live in the great NW.

I am currently in grad school getting a degree in social work. I am particularly focused on aging, end of life care and community health. I am passionate about what I do as an advocate for change and deeper community connection. I also instruct yoga to older adults and I am humbled by all that they teach me. My desire to work with older adults comes from a love of oral story telling which is becoming a lost art. They inspire me and remind me that magic is possible.

My couch surfing experience so far has been really amazing. I have met the most wonderful people and feel blessed to now call them my friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

yes, yes, and definitely yes! Currently reading books about aging, social justice and community mental health. I'm in Grad school getting my maters in Social Work so reading is inevitable. I'm also a yoga teacher and read both spiritual and physical books about the practice. "The Laws of Spirit" is one of my favorites and is an amazing booked filled with spiritual gems everyone must read. Music. I listen to everything and anything. Bad 80's dance party music and so much more.
