About Me

I'm an open minded, positive thinking girl who is keen to meet new people all over the world.

I really enjoyed my geography study - my thesis was on water issues in New Zealand. Now I'm working at an institute for Hydraulic Engineering in Vienna. I like my job although it keeps me busy more than 40hrs per week including a lot of travelling for business. So unfortunately there is not as much time for guests.

My sparetime I spend with friends, when I'm in Vienna I like biking, yoga and walking around town.

I do as much travelling as possible and it must not be far away, I also enjoy spending a weekend in the Austrian alps (esp. Lienz), or at a lake - I really need to be in the nature every now and then!!

I also love cooking (and I do it a lot), gardening (unfortunately I don't have a garden) and reading...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As i mentioned before one of my greatest hobbies is cooking and getting known to foreign cultures.
I'd love to meet creative, open minded and interesting people to share stories about life and travelling and maybe also some recipes?

After meeting some great CS people for drinks, my flatmates and me started hosting people at our house in Christchurch in 2012! I really enjoyed having people over, showing them around, sharing stories of life, laugh together, cook together, have a glass of wine and after some hours it felt like being with friends! Back home in Austria, I want to continue this great experience!!

Interests

Foreign countries, landscapes, cultures, people and food... aaand not to forget collecting beer bottle lables from all over the world. So far I've got more than 2900 different from over 100 countries. So I won't argue if you'd bring some extraordinary lables (must not be a full bottle..) from your home country
