Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To welcome travellers and to help people understand others.
ABOUT ME
I have three grown up sons living fairly close. I prefer the simple life - a welcoming home, friends, lots of books and my garden. I work full time but really like to grow all my own food. I keep bees, so always have honey available.
PHILOSOPHY
Haven't figured it out yet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Haven't couch-surfed personally - perhaps one day.It didn't work out while I was in Italy only because there were three of us travelling together and I think that is a bit much to ask.
Interests
Gardening (only vegetables though) travelling, working in my kitchen, meeting people, but I also like my times of solitude. I am working slowly on a book based on a true story of my sons' great grandmother who left Italy in 1915 for the US. I love southern Italy.I would love to be bequeathed an abandoned farmhouse somewhere in rural Italy- I would take care of it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Too many to name.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a couch surfee (one who has had couchsurfers at her home) I sometimes wonder what I am getting out of it. The older you get the more aware you are of how little time you have left on the planet. People who sit and expect to be waited on are a pain. People who stay in their room all day attached to a laptop are also a pain. Most tell interesting stories and have interesting ideas. I like those who offer to cook or clean up after a meal too. I am not a slave. I really like sharing meals and wine and stories.
