CURRENT MISSION
Live the question
ABOUT ME
For the next month or so I'm making my way back to NYC to see my peoples, and coming through your city on the way. I want to share what I have to offer with folks, and see what's going down in the great cities and communities of the US...
...then I'm returning to the Bay Area to work and make money, lay the tracks.
~
The daily practice meditation and breath, and stepping into the role of the musician. Practicing: cultivating the potential for spontaneous musical connections.
I love nature and letting beings be wild and free. I stand up for my peops and defend what I love.
I'm in this for real. Hit me up with your project.
PHILOSOPHY
If you were given the answer, it could only hurt you because you couldn't live it. Instead of reaching for the answer, live the question.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to meet people and learn more about the CS community. And provide a good sleeping spot for good folks to come surf. And do some travelling myself : )
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Friends have hosted me a number of times, and I have gone WWOOFing twice, each for two weeks. (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms, check it out!)
Interests
Bicycles and their related family of inventions for getting around. Poetry, dancing, and music. People and animals who believe in themselves and flow strong and free.
Getting real about what empowers us, and what is feeding the source of that power. Accepting that this moment the choice is ours.

Music, Movies, and Books
Ariel Schrag. Studs Terkel, Chicagoan oral historian extraordinaire. Amy Tan and her evolving personal history. Huey P Newton, Malcolm X.
Roots music: Coltrane, Joe Henderson, Ron Carter, and the great R n B ers, EWF, Stevie Wonder, Michael.
Now music, whatever makes you move. Hip hop, dance, rock, jazz, music from the heart.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The transformation of pain and despair into tenderness and compassion.
Teach, Learn, Share
A friend told me a story about the old testament quote "it is easier for a camel to walk through the eye of the needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of god." There was a entrance through a city wall that was called "the eye of the needle", and it had a low vertical clearance. Those entering with pack animals had to bow and kneel with them to move under neath and enter the city.
Bike mechanics and wheel based machines, I know a little and there is so much to learn and explore. Music (I play some instruments and speak the language), poetry, gardening.
