ABOUT ME

Olya - I love life! with all its ups & downs, colours and shades of grey, the quiet times and the parties, the simple things and outrageous adventures.. I like to explore the world and get to know its inhabitants - what makes them smile, cry, connect. How they define themselves and what inspires them in life.
I love learning new things, seeing life from a different perspective, having fun and being a very grateful member of our universe. I have been greatly blessed in my life to have had the opportunity to travel, and now enjoying a very busy lifestyle working from home, contracting and looking after my boysterous 2.5 and nearly 5 year old baby girls.

Kent - very much a fun loving extrovert surfer/chook farmer who loves all inspiring people and is interested in everything - you name it - he wants to talk/learn about it!

PHILOSOPHY

Olya - Everything turns out ok in the end. And if it's not ok then it's not the end. And everything happens for a reason. Karma rocks!

Kent - work hard, achieve, travel, laugh and play (not in any particular order)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When we first joined CS we were absolutely blown away by the sheer awesomeness of the idea - these guys are brilliant! To participate you must trust - and be trusted - by complete strangers - what better way to allow people to connect but by taking down their defences? All of us here are united by the same concept - that underneath all our supericial labels in life we believe in the battle of good and evil people are genuenly good! And as simple as it is, we believe this is a great affirmation.
We participate by continuing to promote this idea, by challenging people's beliefs and helping to bring more smiles into people's lives.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My husband Kent & I have hosted some awesome & fun people so far who have inspired us to do the same - take off on our own journey of discovery... again!
Surfed couches in Italy , Portugal and Russia with very gracious hosts that couldn't do enough for us - loved it!

Skydiving over Hervey Bay, QLD - unbelievable! Climbing Avachinski and a few other volcanoes and seeing 4 brown bears 50m from our tent in Kamchatka

Olys - I teach a few yoga classes a week, it has been an inspiration in my life! For the energetic souls I can take you through a Bikram sequence and teach you cartwheels, hand stands and headstands!
I am also a manual therapist happy to lend a healing hand to anyone in pain :) and teach them how to prevent it and improve their posture.
I also love to cook for friends - both herbivores and carnivores :) its a great way to bring people together.
Kent - taught Olya to surf, which mean he can teach anyone!
