About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Take all experience you can get!

ABOUT ME

Alright...well..who am I? It is hard to describe..oh man I never thought about that!
I graduated from school last year and decided to "take a year off" and go to the USA because I think it is great to travel around and experience new lifestyles and cultures. (Maybe also because I don't know what to study yet.)
My friends would probably say that I'm a little bit crazy, but not like crazy....it's more like crazy! Sometimes I talk a lot..oh ja, especially about useless things, nobody would ever think about. (I figured, that it is easier in German). I like to try new stuff out (that's why I know that I don't like pumpkin pie) and do everything what might be fun. I don't like stress, but I do like Music especially Jazz. (I know that doesn't make sense!)

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a lot like Jazz - it's best when you improvise! (Thanks Flavia!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed now for a couple of times, in DC, Rapid City, Missoula, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, LA, Las Vegas... and it is the best experience I have ever had. Only awesome people, they show you where you should go and you don't feel like a tourist!

Interests

I love Jazz (maybe that's why I found myself in the US?!). I play my horn (Saxophone) quite a lot. (can you say that?) When I listen to great Sax-Soli I freak out.
What else? I like to party...I was in boarding school, I mean you get used to it.
And I just like to do crazy things.

Music, Movies, and Books

ok, first of all I have to say that I don't read very much. I wish I would read more books. Maybe they don't like me. Anyway my favorites: Perfume (Patrick Suskind) and "Die dunkle Seite des Mondes" (Martin Suter)
As I said I really like Jazz, especially Funk. I don't think it makes sense to list all my favorite Jazz musician, but I have to list one: MACEO PARKER
I also listen to Ska and Reggae. Eclectronic is best to party! But I'm good with most genre...
Yeah, I like Movies:
The Big Lebowski, Requiem For A Dream, A Clockwork Orange, Trainspotting, Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas, The Educators.....and the good old Lion King!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Did a Road Trip 7000 miles thru the US...couchsurfed every night and met the coolest people!
Played Saxophone on the street in New Orleans!

Teach, Learn, Share

A Blues has 12 bars!!!!!!! I think I could tell you a little bit about Jazz and improvising.
Oh, and I recognized already on my trip, that there is a whole different culture in how to party in the US and Germany....so I could show you how the Germans do it - you will like it, believe me! (No, it is not true, we don't drink warm beer)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, France, Greece, Italy, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany
