ABOUT ME

We've been in Alaska 25 years. We lead a simple, but interesting life here. We are not connected to much technology, no TV, one radio station. We love company, good conversation and a nice wine.

PHILOSOPHY

Be fair.
Life is short...best to enjoy it.
Be and advocate for you kids.
Relationships are 'work' no matter how short or long it lasts remember to be respectful, dress up, go on dates, listen to each other.
Blossom where you're planted...this I've really had to embrace as given a choice, I would not live in Alaska (I hate being cold!) So, I've learned to find the joy in the day (before my feet hit the ground) regardless of where I'm at.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We operated an international Hotel here, but found it exhausting. When we closed we found we missed the 'world' showing up at our door. This way we get to offer a space in our 100+ year home. We have chandeliers in the trees and feed the birds. We have the best raspberry batch in town, a fire pit and a couple of BBQ's in the yard. We often have spontaneous gatherings including music. We've been told we should have installed a revolving door on the house for all the people that come through it...keeps life interesting.

Quilt and knit when the mood strikes me.
