About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Happiness and living life like there's no tomorrow. (But seriously, there is going to be a tomorrow right?)

ABOUT ME

I'm David. I'd like to think I'm confident, easy going, intellectual, and a passionate person, but those things are better left to the perception of others. One thing I do know is that I love change and am looking forward to traveling and living life ready for anything. I am adventurous and love to have a good time. After all what is this life good for, if not for happiness.

PHILOSOPHY

I think we are here to enjoy this life and I don't see any reason to take it too seriously. As long as your actions don't harm anyone, do whatever makes you happy. With that said, life should not be a selfish pursuit. We should do what we can to ensure everyone else has that same chance at happiness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm still quite new but I participate locally and enjoy helping to organize CS events. I am a willing host and I plan to get out and do some surfing myself soon.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Utopia by Thomas Moore,Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy, and Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer to name a few. I enjoy a diverse selection of literature and am always reading something.
Music: Right now I am stuck on Passion Pit, Bon Iver, Phoenix, MGMT, and Melanie Pain but some of my favorites are Radiohead, The Roots, Modest Mouse, The Guillemots, Kings of Leon, and Spearhead.
Movies: The list would be miles long but I can say that the best recently was Slumdog Millionaire and probably my favorite would be La vita è bella (Life is Beautiful). Roberto Benigni, what happened to you?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I slept near the top of a 14er, cliff jumped into near freezing water, cliff jumped in warm water, survived a car crash that technically did kill me, and lived life happy.
