About Me

CURRENT MISSION - UPDATED WITH LINKS AS OF APRIL 2016

(all links that you may need are listed below, so please read through profile in full, any additional info you may need after that, just ask!)

MAXIMUM STAY - 3 days with initial contact. If all goes well, then after that, any future visits you may wish in Brighton in seeking a longer stay, I would be open to discuss with you.
PLEASE NOTE - Guests are expected to leave on the day of departure by 1300hrs.

MY TWO REQUIREMENTS
Is for travellers and their friends to be 18+ and to upload face pics of themselves either onto their friends profile on this site or to create their own profile. No face pics then no couchsurfing.
This is for your safety, my safety and (heaven forbid) should anything occur to you while you are staying here in this very diverse and cultured city.

Am a gay man who offers rest and shelter to all people. For those who may have a problem with someone who is of the LGBT+ community, here is some wisdom imparted to you. History has recorded us as the " two spirit people. "
In many tribes, the two-spirit people filled very special religious roles as the healers, shamans, and ceremonial leaders of the tribe!
Hopi Prophecy states when Mother Earth is dying, there then shall arise
- " The Warriors of the Rainbow " who will bring the people together - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BHRV-RMNvs
Yes, we are indeed a very spiritual people, here is a link for you to read - http://www.willsworld.org/twospiritq-a.html

Have a large " L " sofa in living room plus a double mattress available for use in spare room. Backpackers - there also is a large floor space in the living room available for use. Couples/Gay couples also welcome. Facilities available include shower, washing machine/dryer and internet :-)

ABOUT ME

I am Aaron, a 40 something single gay Leo male with home by the sea. I don't drink and don't mind others who do. I do smoke (enjoy the herb :-) but am a conscientious smoker who has balcony door and windows open all the time.
Ignorance, intolerance, prejudice etc are traits I cannot abide by in people, especially in the 21st century world.
All humans are born free and equal in dignity and rights. Am a very easy going, chilled, sorted and laid back man and will do all I can for my guests.

What are your hobbies and interests ? Wish to meet like minded people while you are here in Brighton (or elsewhere) ? If your interests are not listed, why not create a group yourself ? Like couchsurfing , " Meet - Up " (see below) is yet another great way of meeting people :-)

In April 2016 - 137,029 "Meetups " happened this week, subjects about everything from careers, to hiking, parenting, tech, photography, socialising and urban gardening plus a whole lot more :-)

TRAVEL INFO AND LINKS - (be prepared, the rail network is having upgrades, especially in London and the Underground, so please check for delays/changes)

National Train network - http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/
Coaches into Brighton - http://www.nationalexpress.com/destinations/coach-travel-to-brighton.aspx
National Express - UK main coach operator - http://www.nationalexpress.com/destinations.aspx
Megabus - for coach travel in the UK and Europe - http://uk.megabus.com/
Trains into Brighton - book upto 12weeks in advance for cheaper tickets - https://www.thetrainline.com/
There is usually a regular direct train from London Victoria - Brighton, has about 3 or 4 stops and takes under an hour. The other trains into Brighton can have between 5 and 12 stops and can take upto 2hours, maybe more.
If possible, try to avoid travelling through London at " peak times " 8am-10am and 3pm-5pm as this is when everyone is heading into work or heading home from work. Tickets can be more expensive and the underground is very very full due to the high demand of the commuters and people on holiday in London.
By Car - there are 6 free visitor parking spaces here near my home but are on a first come basis. If all spaces are taken, be prepared as street parking can be quite costly. Would have to see if space is free on the day when you arrive.

MOBILE PHONES -
you will need a SIM card when in the UK. Please check with your phone provider. You can get international SIM cards also. I do not use Whatsapp. My mobile is for calls and texts, for all else I use the computer.
International SIM cards - https://www.worldsim.com/international-sim-card
Compare deals of all UK networks - https://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/networks/

PHILOSOPHY
My religion is loving kindness. Like the Mother of the world, touch each being as your beloved child. Harm no other beings, they are just your brothers and sisters. Treat others with dignity, equality, justice and respect. In the long run, how you treat others will be how they treat you.
