About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To wander and wonder

ABOUT ME

I've been described as a gypsy.I grew up in Texas before moving to the west coast, then the midwest, then back to Texas, and now I'm in the midwest again.

On the weekends I like to get drinks, ride bikes, play chess and browse the local thrift shops. Sometimes I play pick up ball, sometimes I just watch sports, occasionally I write.

I've decided to spend the next 5 years accomplishing individual goals, some of which involve taking Aikido classes, visiting Honfluer France--the birthplace of Erik Satie (one of my favorite composers), recording a music album, and visiting the glaciers of Patagonia.

PHILOSOPHY

"anything worth doing is worth over doing."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have done a great deal of surfing and a little bit of hosting. I would like to host more in the fall when I get back from traveling this summer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had some really awesome experiences doing the CS thing. I've met some great people all over the states and Canada. Besides helping on the travel budget, its allowed me to see a more intimate side of the places I've been.

Some of the hosts here in Lawrence have been so fantastic and people I have enjoyed getting to know as I live here.

Music, Movies, and Books

I find it hard to make time to sit down and watch a movie or even read a book these days. It's kind of sad. On the other hand I'm super active so that's a good thing right?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once saw a perfect game no hitter in Atlanta, Georgia. Randy Johnson threw it against the Braves. My best friend and I had seats behind the plate....that was cool also saw the Northern Lights on my 29th birthday...engaged Sam Elliot into a duel of cool (he won).....Once took a train trip across Canada to see the Canadian Rockies, Most recently did the Naked Bike Ride in Portland, Oregon.

Teach, Learn, Share
