ABOUT ME

I am an independent, fun-loving, adventurous explorer. I am a student, currently at University of St. Andrews. I am studying English and Psychology and I hope to be a therapist some day. Well, actually, I hope to be an author or a poet or a screenwriter someday, but I also want to have enough money to keep traveling around the world, so I think I will probably have to settle for something a little more practical. I'm very relaxed and laid-back, and open to new experiences and friendships. I like animals :)

I LOVE meeting new people and discussing life and listening to people talk. I could really just listen to people talk -- to me and amongst each other -- all day, because I love learning about others and their views on the world. How else are you going to learn anything?! I would be a hippie if I thought I could get away with it :)

There isn't a lot that I will say no to; I love new experiences! I wouldn't call myself a daredevil or anything, just open to life. I believe in seizing the moment and going for what you want, because it's better do make a huge mistake and learn something than regret a missed opportunity and never know what might have happened. After all, what are the chances that your life will turn out badly if you approach it with passion and honesty and a willingness to be amazed?

I am a little bit of a hedonist. I love reveling in the big and little pleasures in life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I just joined recently, so I'm not really participating much yet. I hope to stay on some people's couches when I travel through Europe, and I would love to meet people and show them around St. Andrews, or even Edinburgh.

I am participating because I think that this is the most humane, generous, and faith-restoring thing I have seen in a while. Humans should be able to find welcome from other humans wherever they go in the world, and this seems like a defiant blow to the coldness and mistrust that runs rampant in society today.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far! I hope they will be good.

Reading and writing, music, travel, walking/hiking, partying, laughing, cooking, drinking wine in the kitchen while talking, baking, food in general, animals, movies, hugs, exciting socks, shopping (window-shopping only, I don't really have any money to spend), flying, skydiving, singing, Nutella, and lots of other things I can't think of right now.
