ABOUT ME

We have been living in the UK for the past 18-months and are now ready to do some traveling in Europe. Whilst in the UK I have been completing my masters in Fine art. Dave is a Carpenter who is really interested in craftsmanship and mastering his trade. I am a professional photography and photo media teacher (tertiary), which i do to support my real passion which is my art practic. My practice involves mainly video and photography but the possibilities are endless. We are both passionate about the environment, love love love our music and food (especially eating it but also cooking), i am a vegetarian but Dave is not.
We want to get a real feel for the community and culture of the places we are visiting. While we love having fun in the cities we also really really love exploring beautiful countryside.
Our home in Australia is a largish property on the Sunshine
coast, which is mainly solar powered. It is in a very popular
tourist area but we have managed to still keep some rural surroundings.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We really like the idea of CS as it gives you the
chance to experience a place as part of the community
as opposed to just a tourist. It also is a great
opportunity to meet people and create a network all
over the world and when possible show them our little
piece of paradise in Australia
