Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To leave the kitchen tidier than I found it.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in Southern California outside of Los Angeles, went to college in Massachusetts, and worked in New York and Los Angeles for big financial institutions.
I just started a 5 month trip around Central and Eastern Europe, and I am spending my first month in Krakow. I love challenges, the act of learning, and meeting new people, among many, many other things.
PHILOSOPHY
No experience is a useless one. Happiness, grief, pleasure, pain, depression, loneliness, exuberance...all are equally human, equally important, and equally sacred.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
For the time being I will be a couch user. Once I finish my travels, I intend to become a couch provider.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am a completely inexperienced couchsurfer (hence my lack of official "verification"). I promise I'm not some 60-year-old crazy guy.
Interests
English literature (particularly the Romantics), WWI history, skiing, hearty breakfasts, languages, road trips and trains, maps, cooking, the Oxford English Dictionary, Jack Russell terriers (no idea why), vino, and traveling of course. Many other things that probably get boring in a CS profile.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Everything from Montaigne to Wordsworth to Christopher Buckley. If it's well written, I like it (I know, that's a huge cop-out).
Music: Again, my tastes are pretty flexible (yes, even pop froth has a small place in my heart). Love piano music - just wish I could play it.
Movies: My tastes are unrefined. I really, really love comedies.
