ABOUT ME
I'm just a post-grad recessioneering to the best of my ability. I got my master's in accounting to do my part in saving the world through working with nonprofits and/or in public accounting.
In the end, I'd love to be able to support myself working part time, and donate the rest of my time to charity. First I have to repay a ridiculous amount of debt, and make it look like fun. Fortunately, fun is cheap if you know how to make it yourself.
I'm a pretty spirited fella, loves dressing up, dinner (I've been told I'm a pretty awesome cook) and dance parties, karaoke and yard sales, to name a few. I use I've been a musician, stained glass artist, breakdancer, turkey farmer, green party chairperson, and many other things besides, but I found much to my own surprise that I wanted to be an accountant. I can't make this stuff up.
PHILOSOPHY
I've been through such incredible changes over the last few years, that I'm no longer sure who I am: all but a core of standards aren't being tested right now.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been hosting on and off since I joined, but haven't been able to travel much because of grad school. Now that I'm done, I'm heading to The Other Portland (or from The Other Portland, depending on how you look at it) to take up roots, get a job, etc.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had a roommate who once had a few visitors, and was impressed by the utility of the program and the quality of the surfers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As far as travels are concerned, I backpacked around northern Europe alone (oh, the people I met) for 3 months in the fall of 2001, including spending a week on a Lithuanian family's couch.
