About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To grow more aware of myself and the world around

ABOUT ME

Proud owner of a very comfortable couch.
Open-minded, optimistic and with a decent sense of humour. Stubborn (but only when I know I'm right), impulsive and with a heart that rules the head.
Overall quite nice really.

PHILOSOPHY

Unfortunately I’m not yet at a stage of drawing conclusions - still in the process of gathering information and thoughts :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I registered not so long ago, so right now I’m just trying to complete my profile. The reason I signed up to the CS Project was to meet new people of course, but most of all it was to make traveling a little bit easier and interesting for others, as I am a keen traveler myself.

Interests

1) traveling - the harsher conditions, the better,
2) nature - main reason for traveling,
3) literature - travel of course (flora&fauna, different cultures), contemporary philosophy, fantasy (for fun…)
4) movies – to reflect: lots of different titles from different directors, to relax: detective stories, long live Bollywood,
5) music (too long to list),
6) mountain climbing, WRC, snooker, tenis (as a spectator only :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept in a hammock in a jungle underneath the highest waterfall in the world, swam in the Orinoco river by the sunset with flocks of parrots flying over my head, flew in a tiny 6-seat Cessna airplane, jumped of many waterfalls into the South American unknown (silly really), drove a cabriolet from Dubrovnik to Poznań without sleeping -it took me 24 hours (even more silly), taught (and still teaching) many different things to my brother’s baby daughter Lena, learned how to be a professional barmaid (at Rudding Park) when living in Harrogate (UK), used to own and ride a Honda Nighthawk 650 motorbike, drove a quad in the Tatra mountains during a very rainy night, climbed Mt.Ciemniak off trail, climbed Rysy (highest peak in Poland), done the Everest Base Camp trekk in Nepal (been on Gokyo Ri and Kala Patthar)… I hope there will be many more memories coming…
