About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to travel the world! Everywhere. I want to see everything! It's a big place and I'm a very curious person.

ABOUT ME

I have an unfettering love for my family--and yes my dog is on equal grounds with the rest of them! I love my boyfriend Tyson and we will be together forever, but marriage is something we just are not that interested in. I don't know what career I will have but I am, at this point, considering moving to France and finding a job here for a year or two after I graduate college in 2010. I want nothing more than to travel as much as I can, wherever I can go. I want to do a humanitarian aid project in the near future-maybe after I move back from Europe-and I want to do it in Africa, haven't decided on a country yet. I want to go to grad school but I don't know if I want to do that before or after the peace corps? Decisions Decisions! I am not a religious person, but I am very spiritual and have a strong relationship with God as I understand Him. I am very open-minded and appreciate that quality in other people. I'm stubborn, but humble and can admit fault when wrong. I appreciate the little things and LOVE nature. And history.

PHILOSOPHY

hold onto your dreams, but try not to oversleep.

the opposite of faith isn't doubt, it's certainty.

do what you want as long as you are fair to others.

golden rule my friends, golden rule.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to this so I don't really know what I'm doing yet. At the moment I'm traveling and unable to offer a "couch." I hope to meet great new people on my adventures, and when I return home, I will of course return the favor...pay it forward, if you will.

Interests

WOW too many to list all, but here are a few: rugby, soccer, french, animals, meeting cool new people, going to new places, rock climbing, bike riding, reading, trying new foods, movies, climbing trees, swinging, shopping (it's my financial downfall!), canoeing on the Eleven Point River, camping, etc, etc. I'll add more as they come to me....to be continued.

Music, Movies, and Books

books: Twilight and Harry Potter series...I know I am a huge nerd and I readily admit it! Angels and Demons, The da Vinci Code, La Morte Amoureuse, I am America and So Can You, Democracy Inaction, Pride and Prejudice, Lord of the Flies, more and more but I need time to think!

music: Dashboard Confessional!! 90s music, Ludo, Pink Floyd, Disney songs :)

movies: Across the Universe, Grandma's Boy, the Labyrinth, Chicago, Victor/Victoria, many more are very good but I can't remember them all now

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing things I have done in my life so far are live in Chicoutimi, Quebec and Le Mans, France. I set a goal for myself to learn French and live abroad and I have realized my dreams. My host family in Chicoutimi I will forever be indebted to--they were the most loving, generous, pleasant people I have ever met and they taught me how I can live my life to be a better person. I miss them everyday!

the most amazing thing I have ever seen is--get ready for cliche--my niece, when she was born. I fell in love with her instantly!

Teach, Learn, Share

teach-I can teach the rules of rugby and soccer, because those are my favorite sports!! I can teach someone how to sit back and relax, enjoy the moment and all life has to offer. I can teach you how to make really great guacamole, but other than that I'm not much of a cook.

Learn-everything. I want to know anything you can teach me, especially if it has anything to do with religions of the world, history, where the best places on Earth are, how to travel efficiently, etc etc etc!

share-I don't have much, but I'll share with anyone anything I can offer. I listen well and speak the truth, I'm good at sharing my opinion :) and when I return home I will share my home with other travelers.
