About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Aquiring good stories and life experience before becoming an alleged adult.

ABOUT ME

I'm a part time tour guide here in Raleigh, which is basically the coolest job ever. I get paid to tell people about my city, drink beer with cool people, and tell ghost stories! I work full time in publishing, which isn't as cool as it sounds. I also play the ukulele badly. I've swam through a cave in Mexico, hunted ghosts in an abandoned mental institution, hiked ruins in Belize, climbed a mountain in Spain, and eaten waffles in Belgium. I love everyone, and life, and everything, basically.

PHILOSOPHY

"Be kind, for everyone you know is fighting a hard battle."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't had an opportunity to host yet (please change that!) but I'd love to. I've met a lot of cool folks through CS and have traveled quite a bit on other people's couches.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I recently got back from Spain where I stayed with some very gracious friends who were excellent tour guides. It made my trip so much better.

Interests

live music, photography, good beer and even better books, dancing 'till the break of dawn, antique shopping, getting lost on purpose, coffee,

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Film noir, anything cheesy and involving Humphrey Bogart.
music: live and local. Classic rock, blues, folk, bluegrass, hip-hop, alt-country, indie rock
Books: Jonathan Safran Foer changed my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Caving with a National Geographic guide in West Virginia. After climbing and pushing through a really challenging cave, we came to a open place with an underground waterfall, where we all just stood in awe. Traveling alone in Spain and hiking a mountain to find Quixote's windmill was an absolutely incredibly experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

Everyone! Except excessively grumpy, overly negative, and hateful people. Which is pretty much no one on CS.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Belize, Canada, Cayman Islands, France, Honduras, Iceland, Mexico, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
