So I'm Vanessa from Lebanon, but I've been living in London for the past 3 years. I've studied documentary film-making and hope to spend my time making films on subjects I care about.

I'm generally a calm person although some stereotypes of Mediterranean women do run in my blood, I can be fiery and passionate about my values. I enjoy getting to know people deeply instead of keeping conversations on the surface.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven't been very active on Couchsurfing since I moved to London 3 years ago unfortunately; the speed of the city is very different to what it was in Beirut. I was a lot more active back then. I've hosted a lot more than I have surfed and have made lots of friends whom I still keep in touch with now.

I think Couchsurfing (whether you are hosting or surfing) is a great way to understand the world and yourself.

Interests

I enjoy films, taking walks in nature, art and art history, politics and current affairs, cooking healthy meals, what people's guilty pleasures are (cat videos?), reading, making illustrations of what's around me (especially when I travel!), music of course, social movements, etc...
