ABOUT ME
I was educated at a private UK school (Hymers College, Hull, Yorkshire, UK).
I spent a few years in Birmingham, UK, studying and playing ping pong.
Then I had a long stint in Gutersloh, Germany, working for The Ministry of Defence.
I have loved sport and activities all my life....tennis, table-tennis, squash, chess, bridge, reading
For 4 years I have lived and worked in Kuala Belait, Brunei, Asia. I now stay in Kota Kinabulu.
PHILOSOPHY
I like to do some things well/ carefully.
I enjoy life and try to keep fit, spending time at my local pool/gym.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I joined- March 2009.
Brunei is a peaceful, colourful and uncommercialised destination- a special experience. I am now in KK, Sabah and I might only be here for a year or two....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed Mount Kinabulu, in Malaysia. There was no sunrise, I walked down for 12 solid hours on Day 2, could not lift my legs over a roadside kerb for a few days......but it was amazing....
