ABOUT ME

I'm Kathy and I'm a typical aquarius. I always want to make a positive difference and change the world. I am majoring in sustainable tourism at San Diego State University. I love school! My dream is to have a career in tourism or events planning that allows me to travel and bring people together in an eco-friendly way. I volunteer with San Diego Hostelling International by helping with cultural kitchen events. I also volunteer with girl scouts and local elementary schools, mostly playing activities and reading books. I love helping people! Other than that, I workout, play my nintendo ds, and hangout with my boyfriend or my best girlfriends.

PHILOSOPHY

Take care of yourself first, and everything else will follow.

I'm happy knowing that others are finding meaning and purpose to their lives. I want that for everyone because it's a great feeling.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One time in Japan, I was invited to a "Melt-Banana" and "Blonde-redhead" Concert. My friend who invited me bumped into her ex at the show. She was comfortable enough to talk to him, but it was still awkward. After the show, I couldn't read the street signs and I forget where I was going. I eventually got lost and missed the last train out of Tokyo. When I was running around in frantic chaos, her ex saw me and offered both of us a place to sleep (not in a creepy/sexual way). That night we all stayed up at his place and talked about their past...I think I saw some sparks.

I love food, cultural events, historical sites with spiritual emphasis/psychological impacts, music (indie, rock, electro), jogging, hiking, camping, hostels or hotels, fine dining or cheap take out, chick-lits (romance novels), beer or wine, whisky or vodak, being a lady that says what she wants to.
