About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To circumnavigate the globe one country // one beer at a time whilst my young body and overzealous personality will allow me.
ABOUT ME
I now live in Leeds in the UK, I went to the prestigious and extremely vibrant University of Leeds where I studied Engineering and got a degree in boozing. I spent my boyhood in the countryside of the Midlands (Ashby de-la Zouch // Market Bosworth) and like all young country bumpkins I enjoy the country pursuits such as horse riding, hunting and shooting all of which have escaped me in the recent years.
I have a very overzealous personality who likes to live at a break neck pace of life (except when some much earned sofa time has been accrued).
I’m a big fan of all sports and will watch and play most until the cows come home, well except baseball (I just can’t see the fascination with it). My biggest love of sports has to be skiing, golf, squash / tennis, football….
But like all, one of my favourite past times is time spent socialising in her Majesties public houses embracing that great British past time drinking to a state of adequate inebriation which then leads on to all types of debortury.
Guess that is me in a ‘nutshell’.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is for the living.
Your a long time dead.
Abstaining from drinking & smoking won’t make you live longer it will just seem longer.
Your only young once.
Live every day like it might be your last, and one day it will.
Regret nothing, simply learn from past experiences good or bad.
Why do some thing tomorrow when you can do it today.
Judge people on what they do not on what they say they will do.
You only have one life and there is no dress rehearsal.
You can archive anything you want, the only constraint is time.
A war is not won over night it’s won one battle at a time.
“Tottenham Hotspurs will in my life time get Champions League football.”
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I first heard of the CS project through a friend of mine. This friend and a host of my house mates then went and travelled all across and around the USA using this amazing social networking tool to meet like minded people and well to make that travelling budget last for as long as possible.
I my self was planning to attend this mammoth trip however it was just not possible due to work constraints. DAM WORK.
I think the idea that like minded travellers can meet each other and pass on local knowledge and be offered a bed / sofa / floor to crash on at the same time is in the true spirit of the travelling mentality and is an admirable character trait which shows truly the good will that some humans poses.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My personal couch surfing experiences are limited at this time, my first experience of CS was in Hungary, Budapest where an American Berkley university student studying there was so kind as to house us and take us out for 3 nights of quality socialising. Dxxxxx Pxxxxx thank you again! Xx
