About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"When you speak two languages it is like having two minds, when you live in two cultures, you have lived two lives.” -- my mission is to live as many lives as possible and to have several minds

ABOUT ME

well it would be sad if this fit into this small box...I suggest that you meet me and find it out by yourself

nevertheless I will try to give you an impression:

I would describe myself as open-minded, interested in getting to know new cultures, new people and in learning new things. I am spontaneous and I like to be busy. Sometimes I can be impatient (but my work in Africa and Southamerica is teaching my how to be patient;)

I love to travel (sometimes even being at the airport makes me happy;)
I like to eat (especially asian, southamerican, italian and african food) I also know and like to cook
I love to do sports (can not live without it; one of the reasons for that is obviously that I can eat what and as much as I want;)
I like watching football with my friends and having a beer
I like to go out (whether it is to the cinema, to the restaurant or to party)
I like the beach and warm, sunny weather
I absolutely dislike the austrian cold and rainy weather, although sometimes I like walking in the snow and I like tropical rain
I like the sound of the sea
I like music (all kinds of music, depends on my mood) I never leave the house without my mp3 player
I like my work and I would not change it for anything (except if I had the chance and the money to go for a 1 year wold trip)
I love Brazil and its culture and people (actually there is not engough space here to describe my feelings for Brazil and people I have met there or from there)
I do not like language courses

to be continued...

PHILOSOPHY

carpe diem, live and enjoy life at the fullest, trying to make the most of it and learn something from every person that enters my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

surfing and hosting
partying with CS and attending Vienna Stammtisch and in the past attended Sao Paulo weekly CS meeting :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have always practiced couchsurfing even before getting to know couchsurfing.org. I have always hosted friends and friends of friends and slept on the couches of other people. I really like this way of travelling. but couchsurfing.org has taken this to a higher level and I fell in love with this movement.
so far I have only made really positive experiences with couchsurfing. I have been hosted very kindly and I have got to know some really interesting people of which some have turned into important friends already.
