ABOUT ME

I'm a lover of life and a student of the world. My professional background is with nonprofit organizations, and my theory on work is that if you're going to spend 8+ hours a day working on something, it might as well do something to make the world even more amazing than it is. In May 2009 I decided to quit my job at a great nonprofit in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and travel the US for a year and surfed along the way. After wrapping up that fantastic journey, I'm now back traveling, but this time around the world for 9 months with my amazing fiance Lance. (He doesn't have a CS profile, but if any hosts are interested, I can send you his FB link.)

PHILOSOPHY

I believe having a passion for living is the key to having a happy life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started surfing in early 2009 and traveled the US meeting amazing people that inspired and impressed me. Lately Lance and I have surfed in New Zealand and had yet another great experience. I hope to have a couch that's available for hosting soon!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed with farmers and senetors, teachers and students, but regardless of what they call themselves, they all share some amazing qualities. They are all generous givers and truly care about not only the world around them, but also the people that live in it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Latest amazing international trip was to the Galapagos Islands off of Ecuador. I swam with sea lions, conversed with a variety of world travelers and took 400 photos of flowers.

I spent 12 months traveling around the US in 2009 meeting wonderful people and seeing how beautiful the country is.

Current amazing adventure is 9 months around the world with my finacee Lance. We're heading to Argentina, New Zealand, Australia, Italy, Czech and Finland.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn about people's passions - what makes them excited about life and how they embrace it.

I'd love to teach anything that I can offer from being optimistic to how to use Excel :-)
