About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be an international photographer and improve my Spanish and French

ABOUT ME

Hey my name's Bram, I'm a professional photographer who focuses on photographing top athletes and adventurers. I do a bunch of sports myself as well, including climbing, cycling and running. My lifestyle is pretty busy and chaotic and I'm away from home for about 1/3 of the year, but I like to meet new people and help them with a place to stay for the night.

PHILOSOPHY

Find what you love and do that. Break loose from conventions and expectations and follow your passion. Don't spend you hours making someone else rich doing something you don't really like, only to be too tired during your spare time to actually do something interesting and end up buying a plasma TV. I don't work a single day in my life, because I do what I love. There is no such thing as work.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted several people from all over the world now and my experiences have only ever been excellent. Surfers have always been really open and interested in Dutch culture and contemporary issues, as well as showing genuine interest in myself. I try to give that back to them and learn about their own country and personality. I've not surfed before myself but definitely want to try.

Interests

Clearly photography and climbing. Also I like learning languages, music, movies and playing the guitar. My parents used to be hippies so I was kind of raised differently. We never used to go to hotels but instead we always went on cycling vacations and camped. Although I'm probably less alternative than my parents were at my age, I inherited some of their customs, for instance I'm a vegetarian (not really by principle, I'm just used to eating like this) and I like cycling vacations.
