Overview
About Me
I studied biochemistry and did it for some time. Being influenced by the fact biochemistry is not in high demand in New Zealand (or Czech Republic), with my partner's support I switched to programming and have been happily employed ever since.
We have travelled around the world, now we enjoy living and working in New Zealand, exploring many things this country has to offer, especially nature, outdoors and cultural diversity. My partner's profile: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/ivo.skolek .
I like to read, hike, run, draw and cook. I love animals, unfortunately don't have one as we haven't settled yet.
It appears I have an issue with documents/papers. I have an aversion to it and I can never find it . This includes IDs, passports, certificates and contracts. I have no idea where my diploma is.
PHILOSOPHY
Energy/Action/Dynamics. People observer.
PEOPLE I ENJOY
Story-tellers, cooks, sportsmen. People with a sense of humor (because I like to laugh).
STAYING WITH US
Why are you coming to my place? Additional info about your stay in "My Home" section.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have met a few like-minded people through Couchsurfing. All of them travelled away though. So I hope to meet more.
Interests
Moving, movement... these two words define me the most. I used to climb but number one for me is long distance running. I like to push my limits. I also started growing carrots and composting. Serious stuff.

Music, Movies, and Books
Current book: The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay.
Recently watched: Stranger Things.
Always and forever music: David Bowie and me - playing drums made of empty buckets.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I travelled the world and changed my profession. Can't choose the ONE.
Teach, Learn, Share
Learn: find a balance, relax, proper tea preparation, which new places to visit and what books to read. To cook a new/traditional dish.
Teach: If you grow carrots, don't plant them too close to each other. You might end up having one giant crooked carrot. I can also tell you what to do/where to go in New Zealand. Which Czech beers are the best.
What I Can Share with Hosts
