Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To learn and explore, challenge and inspire.
ABOUT ME
I am a daughter, older sister, niece and cousin... a fiercely loyal, if physically distant, friend... I am NOT a princess. I spend as much time as possible playing outdoors, jumping in puddles, tempting fate, menacing complacency, contemplating, challenging myself and others, dissolving boundaries, embarking on ludicrous and somewhat nerve-wracking adventures, working to live (not living to work), reading, writing and then reading some more...
PHILOSOPHY
Honesty over fear. Compassion over self-interest. Dedication over complacency. Creativity over compliance. Loyalty over superficiality. Curiosity over stagnation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm not sure yet; I am just beginning.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Wonderful! I was a little bit nervous at first but after three days in Italy (my first solo trip, my first visit to Italy and my first CS experience all in one), I am thoroughly impressed. Knowing there was someone to meet up with in a foreign country was so reassuring, and I was fortunate to stay with really nice people who set my mind at ease. I am very grateful for the opportunity to get involved in this community.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Keeping my eyes and heart open at the same time.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share a nauseating amount of knowledge about medical anthropology, as that is my profession. I know how to cook a few dishes well and am always interested to learn more. I like gardening and can do some beadwork/ jewlery design and would like to learn weaving, woodwork, welding, etc. However, whether it is philosophical debate or personal experience, sharing perspectives is probably my ideal exchange.
