ABOUT ME

I live with 3 cats, in the east suburb of Kyoto, I teach English part time and do photo work part time. Kyoto is a very nice place to live, cultured and quiet and full of interesting arts and people who create them.
I do Tibetan Buddhist practise, that is meditation within our little community of foreigners and Japanese, and I am involved in friends' art events, photo exhibitions and shodo; Japanese calligraphy.

PHILOSOPHY

I would like my home to be attractive to interesting people passing through or visiting me, an open house is an aspiration of mine.

Since March 2009 I have hosted Pablo and Elis from Buenes Aries Argentina Alessandra and Eugenio from Roma Singapore students; Chee Keong, Yong Hui, Le Hia then two Quebecois; Dominique and Andre-Anne Joey from Wiltshire Annette and Katrin from Germany Ruth from NYC Julia and Swenja from Munchen Catherine from Bordeaux Ludmilla from Slovakia and Sandrine from France. in 2011, Vincent and Alma from Paris.

visited Bamyan Buddhist statues in the full moon overland from Delhi, when I was young
walked near to Ground Zero in Manhattan on Sept 15 2001
to feel the smoke and dust and the people praying by candlelight
