ABOUT ME

I'm a quiet kind of person, but I enjoy meeting new people and finding out about how they live their lives. There are so many people out there doing amazing things. They inspire me to be a little more creative and relaxed in the way I live my life.

The last three years have been great. I have traveled, learnt a foreign language for the fist time, met a pretty great guy, got married, and changed career. Now it is time to stay put for a while and get back into this thing people call work.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joined up in 2009 and hosted a few people before heading overseas. I met up with a group of couch surfers in Thailand and we travelled together which was great. I have surfed in Australia, New Zealand, and Germany.
Now we have our own flat I am looking forward to hosting again.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Books: Some recent good reads have been Shantaram, the Dice Man, The Book Thief, Nelson Mandela's Autobiography, The Help.

Movies: Before Sunset/Before Sunrise/Before Midnight, Once Were Warriors, Slumdog Millionaire, Dirty Dancing :), Juno, Garden State.

Music: I try and support Australian music. Although I have to admit I am not so up to date at the moment. I love a bit of aussie hip hop like the Herd, Urthboy, and Hilltop Hoods. Other aussie favourites are Blue King Brown, Xavier Rud, John Buttler Trio, Paul Kelly, the Panics, Sarah Blasko, Birds of Tokyo, Holly Throsby, Clare Bowdich, Ash Grunwald, Augie March, and Missy Higgins. Other artists I'm listening to at the moment are The Tallest Man on Earth, Of Monsters and Men, and Alexi Murdoch.
