About Me

I'm a laidback adventurist... always looking for a fun time outside.
I moved to Ottawa this past winter, and I'm having a great time discovering my new backyard.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just recently moved to a nice apartment in Ottawa, and I have two couches in the livingroom, as well as an outdoor folding couch on the front porch :)

I've surfed with many awesome, nice people; mostly in my own province - going to courses in towns hours away from my home... Everyone's been amazingly welcoming and generous.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first three day backpacking trip this winter was amazing. There will definitely be more of this!

I did a river trip down the Grand Canyon in the winter of 2016 that will be hard to beat.

Teach, Learn, Share

This is the first thing I could think of, and my most recent 'AHA' moment, kindly generated by the bike shop that I worked for.

There is such a thing as a LADIES bike saddle, and it does make a difference. Most bikes come stocked with mens saddles, that don't have a groove or cut-out in the front, so women can't pivot their pelvic bone downwards. So, most often, women are unable to sit like a triangle over the bike frame; they get sore, want to sit 'up' and end up on cruiser bikes and can't keep up with men. (this is something I deal with almost daily at the bike shop...)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I enjoy cooking, and doing dishes!

If I've got hoops available, I can teach you a few tricks I've picked up!
