to spread poetic thinking and to raise the level of appreciation for sewing machinists around the world. Without their fantastic dexterity and resilience we would be naked and without pillows and sailing boats and kite flyers.

ABOUT ME

Being human is tantalising and testing.
I refuse to lose faith in goodness and trust.
Appreciate simplicity and sparsity of material goods,(cloths notwithstanding) whilst relish vivid experience and friendships galore.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a pile of bedding paraphenalia to be used.
My daughter is away at University and that leaves a cluttered room often available, otherwise a sofa and floor-space for futons.
I am used to putting friends up and would like to extend this gladness to travellers who pass through this gentle land with the requisite respect.
My house is messy but spirited (clean-freaks beware)and happy.
I live beautifully in a small town by the sea, although without much money, I will share what I can.
Up to four could sleep here but not for more than a few days please, singletons would be less obtrusive and might squirrel away here for much longer!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw a thirsty lioness rise out of her dusty camouflage, to walk two steps closer to the water hole every five minutes or so before sinking down again in absolute silence to disappear against the muddy landscape, until she could finally reach the water hole to drink. Such patience and measure to enable her reward...wonderful! and a lesson for us.
