About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finished a trip around the world, now back to reality to plan my next big adventure

ABOUT ME

Come couchsurf or host me and find out :)

PHILOSOPHY

Travel while your young, worry about the "adult" stuff later when you have time to stress.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Mostly been hosting "surfers" since joining the CS project partly because I lived in Sydney for a year while going to school and working. After Sydney I traveled the world for almost a year through SE Asia, Mainland Asia, and Europe, surfing every couch I could find. Now I'm living in Calgary looking to host any surfers who find their way to this hidden gem of Western Canada.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All have been amazing simply because they're all different

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs (Chuck Klosterman) and Ethics for the New Millennium (His Holiness the Dalai Lama) have stood the test of time and are still my favorite reads. Non-fictional, biographies, and documentaries about the Vietnam War / Cambodian stuggles in the 1960's / 1970's - I know they're dark & ominous, but they continue to intrigue me.

I can watch "Tombstone" and "Goodfellas" time and time again, and I live and breathe lessons learned from "Dumb & Dumber".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every ounce of traveling I've ever done has rendered eye-opening and inspirational experiences. At the heart of this is people, who, through varying displays of personal and cultural dimensions, have bestowed me with invaluable knowledge, ever-lasting memories, and enduring friendships. I'd call this "amazing".

Teach, Learn, Share

Not sure what I can teach, but the expression below has always helped me to keep traveling and enjoying life in perspective:

"You have the rest of your life to work, pay your mortgage, and raise a family....don't rush it.

With regard to "learning" and "sharing", my next goal is to become certified and teach English in Asia. Anybody willing to share and teach me about their personal experience in this endeavor will be my new best friend.
