About Me

CURRENT MISSION

come back to normal life...

ABOUT ME

weeell... i'm benny from feldbach, a little town somewhere in south-eastern styria (austria).

long black coat, long blond hair, some kind of a beard - these are some significant signs of my appearance.
i think i'm a quite enjoyable person, mostly uncomplicated, a bit lazy and messy, sometimes smart, sometimes totally confused :-)
i'm always ready for party, having fun, doing crazy stuff.

i like to make music (even though i know that i'm not really the best musician). i play bass, ukulele, irish whistle, a bit keyboard, and just started learning the banjo.

PHILOSOPHY

hmm, good question... i could write some highly intelligent sentence now, but let's just say:

i love my life. i love every f+++ng second of it, and i want to live it worthy. i want to have fun, do (as far as it's possible) what i want to and the way i want it to, learn to know distant places, (also learn to know close places again^^), and all that without any stress, without making things too complicated or difficult.

yeah, i think that sounds good :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i'm afraid not a lot - i never hosted anybody up to now (not a lot of people come to feldbach...), and i just surfed once, when i was in ireland. i was taken up by seamus enright (in cork) for 2 nights, it was a quite nice time! seamus was very accomodating, he showed me the city, we went out together and had fun, he even lent me his bike when i wanted to cycle around the countryside of cork some hours!
so, up to now, i only had 100% good experience with couchsurfing!

Interests

okaay, my interests:
chilling out, lying in the grass & reading a book
go out with my friends, doing loony things with them, drinking with them...

driving through the streets with my (okay, with my dad's) motorcycle, never knowing where i'm going (oh, it's a rhyme)

going to festivals! unimportant if as guest or working there - i love being part of festivals

music! making music/listening to it/going to concerts/being the concert/everything of it!!!

Music, Movies, and Books

i love music!
nearly all parts of it, (eg. reggae - punkrock - ska - electronic - metal - alternative - irish folk...)
like: die ärzte, reel big fish, tenacious d, rammstein, ac/dc, johnossi, j/m kanes, flogging molly, deichkind, linkin park, the dubliners, madsen, foo fighters, the shoulders, snow patrol, bob marley and many more

i love reading!
also across the board, i read everything that can catch my interests.
some of my favourite writers: wolf haas, jrr tolkien, stephen king, joanne rowling (yees, i like harry potter), dan brown, sergei lukianenko...

i love movies!
i think, a good film doesn't have to be a hollywood-blockbuster, most of my favourite films are just different. for instance: the big lebowsky, beerfest,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

hmmm... let me think...

in 2009, after my matriculation, i went to ireland for some months. i planned to stay in dublin and stay there, but as i didn't find a job, i changed my plans and travveled through the country...
i really enjoyed it, because i love the island, i met some interesting people, saw beautiful places and just enjoyed my time there! i also spent a lot of my time alone, and took that time for thinking about myself, life and about the things that really count.
i really learned a lot on this trip, about myself, other people and life!
never wanna miss it!!

ooh yeah... might not be soo fantastic to you, but for me it was one of the coolest things i've ever done...

last saturday, i was on a miss-chris-concert (my absolutely favourite band on the whole world) and they called me on the stage to sing a song with them... that was really awesome!
