...but there's more to me than some facts. I love to explore new and interesting places, and to return to old ones that I loved. Drinking the culture, savouring the language...what's not to love? I'm a pretty laid-back guy, but I'm passionate about several things - culture (literature, music, cinema), politics (not a particular philsophy, just making the world a better place to live)...and having fun!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is a new experience for me, and I hope I'll learn a lot from it. At the moment it is difficult for me to host, as I'm not going to be in the UK for long periods of time this year, but if you're coming to Worcester/Birmingham then drop me an email and I'll try and help as much as I can.

Music: Lots of 80s stuff - The Smiths/Morrissey, The Cure, Joy Division/New Order, Stone Roses, Billy Bragg, Pixies, Buzzcocks, Depeche Mode, The Police, Tom Waits, REM, a lot of old-skool hip-hop. More modern stuff I like: Radiohead, Styrofoam, Sigur Ros, Death Cab for Cutie, Rufus Wainwright, Elbow, The National, The Libertines, Interpol, Foals, Bloc Party...

Films: Mostly foreign directors - Pedro Almodovar, Michael Haneke, Luis Bunuel, Alex de la Iglesia, Alejandro Amenabar, Victor Erice, Luc Besson, Jean-Luc Godard, Matthieu Kassotitz.
