About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore.Connect.Inspire.Evolve.

ABOUT ME

I love learning and exploring through travel. I tend not to plan my travels day by day, and simply stay open to the opportunities and connections that come my way. This, thus far, has served me well in having amazing experiences both abroad and at home. Listening to my intuition and connecting with locals in their everyday life brings about a beautiful experience in truly connecting with local culture.

PHILOSOPHY

In each moment, I honor myself and those connected to me by being my truth, living my truth and respecting the truths of others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I currently participate with CS through a gathering here and there, and by being open to meeting with travelers. I intend to surf some couches abroad while I explore on teaching breaks and also when I venture to the places I would like to visit.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a number of times and been hosted once. Couchsurfing gives a name for something I've always believed in. I once crashed on the couch of a guy that my friend and I met when our car broke down in Cincinnatti on our 20 day cross country trip. My friends thought I was crazy to crash with a stranger...but I thought it was awesome. We stayed for 3 days, made dinners and he showed us around town. I sent him a Daft Punk CD as a thank you. Advice...trust your vibes.

Interests

random dance parties, rock collecting, making jewelry from thrifty artifacts, interesting chairs, painting chairs, anything made of wood, things that are green, scrabble, eating food, creating food, laughter, creating laughter, 2 minute hugs, being outside, used bookstores, alliteration, epiphanies, efficiency. and manifestation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once rock climbed a tower in a contest for concert tickets in chunky funky high heels with my jeans rolled up after a bit of tequila at an Aerosmith concert...and won.
Got growled at by a wild boar on Geoje Island. It was the most vicious growl I think I will ever hear.
