One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During a roadtrip through Eastern Europe, my friends and I were driving in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere in Ukraine on a dark, unlit road. It was so dark, we didn't even know what was growing in the field to either side of the road. As we went on, we became more and more curious. Finally, in a bout of curiosity, the driver veered around and turned the car perpendicular to the road, headlights facing in the direction of the field. We were immediately BLINDED by the sight of thousands upon thousands upon thousands of incredible huge yellow sunflowers facing us, glowing in our headlights in the middle of the blackness of the ukrainian countryside night. That endless sunflower field under the stars, with no horizon and no one around, is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. (see picture)
